Mini Cinnamon Rolls

What’s better than bite sized snacks? Probably a lot of things..but not today. My favorite thing about bite sized snacks is experiencing all the flavors at once in one mouthful, and knowing that every additional bite will taste and feel exactly the same…you can tell I don’t like surprises ey 😉

The beauty of this snack is that it is so quick and so simple to prepare. Unexpected guests show up at your place and you want to give the image of a well organized adult host, this is it for you!


  • Puff Pastry (These are available at most supermarkets and can be found in the frozen foods section. It costs between 250- 350 ksh)
  • Brown Sugar
  • Cinnamon
  • A bit of flour (to flour your surface)

All you need

Step 1: Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface. Make sure the pastry is completely defrosted before unwrapping it. Sprinkle brown sugar all over the pastry (to your own liking, I used about 2 table spoons), followed by cinnamon (I used approx 2 teaspoons). Spread and roll the pastry.


Step 2: Cut up the rolled pastry into your desired thickness. Ideally, you should arrange them on baking sheets/grease proof paper, I didn’t have any so instead I wrapped aluminium foil over the grill rack and placed the rolls on that, it worked fine 😉

Step 3: Bake at 200 °C for 20 minutes or until brown. Next time I intend to brush them with egg so that they become golden brown and glossy..but these were pretty AWESOME too! I sprinkled some icing sugar on top once they had cooled.
